RULES AND AC 101
+ All characters should be IC. We understand (and encourage!) development, but wildly OOC behavior is grounds for concern. There will be an optional HMD every few months, which will be locked and moderated.
+ Be civil to other players, and remember IC isn't OOC. Harassment is not acceptable.
+ Respect basic RP etiquette. Refrain from infomoding and godmoding, and please take into account other players' limits and comfort.
+ Players must be 18+ and follow Dreamwidth's Terms of Service.
+ All players are expected to meet basic activity levels.
AC Check occurs at the beginning of every month and lasts for a week. For example, February AC will be tallied the first week of March, and all comments submitted must be from February. Game standard time is GMT.
A thread can be submitted as an AC proof if it meets the following requirements:
(5) comments by you for prose or action
(7) comments by you for network interactions
AC requires meeting (2) proofs to pass. Individual subthreads in an open log or top level each count as their own proof.
Comment count must be reached within a singular thread. For example, please do not submit a thread with (2) comments and (3) comments and count it as (5) total.
Turning in double AC — two extra proofs, threads that are twice as long as AC requires, or a mix of the two — will earn a reward token. Only (1) network thread can be used to redeem AC rewards.
Reward tokens can be redeemed in the shop.
There may be additional bonuses and chances to earn more tokens or other IC rewards. These might be for submitting threads with new arrivals, triple AC, et cetera. Consider it extra brownie points for being awesome.
Characters that have hiatused for longer than a week are exempt from AC for that month, but will not qualify for any AC rewards.
Hiatuses cannot be taken for two months in a row barring extenuating circumstances.
Players may take a strike if they don't meet AC requirements. Strikes do not require extra AC to clear, but cannot be "chained" in consecutive months with hiatuses. Players may take (2) strikes total.
Journals that do not respond to AC will be swept out of the game at the end of the check. Players that idle will not be allowed to app in the next app cycle.
Players may ask other players to post AC for them, or tell the modteam in advance if they'll be unavailable and would prefer us to post in their stead.
We won't be making warning lists and may not always post plurk reminders. However, any AC requirement changes and updates will be posted in advance.
As mods, we're here to do our best to keep the peace. If anyone or anything makes you uncomfortable, or if life happens and you have to deal with extenuating circumstances, please feel free to come to us.
